A very fine gold posy ring c. 1650-1680 decorated around the exterior with two pairs of hands holding hearts, deeply engraved and picked out in red, white and green enamel. The interior is engraved with a combination of words and symbols 'still thus [heart in hands] till this [skull]' conveying the sentiment 'I will love you until I die' or 'till death us do part'. 16mm diameter x 3mm, 1.59g.
